Emma - Store Owner
Originally from the UK, I moved to Perth, Australia in 1999. My original career had previously been in Marketing until I decided to try my hand at a business that I was passionate about. Hence the birth of The Wool Shack in 2001.
I was taught to knit by my mother at the tender age of 7 years old, but my passion for the craft took off when I was 18 years old, at college and going through a 'make your own clothes' phase. This 'phase' never left me and years later I am still knocking out little creations.
I am married to Ross, and we have three gorgeous sons Joseph (born June 2002), Luka (born December 2004) and Charlie (born Nov 2006).
My catchphrase in life is "You are only young once, but you can be immature indefinitely", and I try and stick by it wherever possible.

Jemma - Sales Assistant
Like many of us, Jemma began knitting when she was 7 years old, however, it's only the last five years that she has become a recognised addict.
With identical twin boys (born 2002), day to day life for Jemma does not allow for much knitting (although somehow she manages to squeeze some in when the boy are napping).
Until recently, she only seemed to knit gifts for other people. This all changed when she started work at The Wool Shack and now (like the rest of us here) she has about 3000 projects (and counting) on her wish list!

Rachael - Sales Assistant
Rachael’s Mum taught her and her sisters to knit & crochet when they were girls. Rachael hopes one day to knit as beautifully as her Mum does.
With two young daughters, Rachael’s knitting time is restricted to the evenings, in front of the telly – a productive couch potato! Her husband Richard kindly does not complain about the click-clacking or cursing.
Rachael loves knitting for children and charities. Her ‘dream’ project is the ‘Chantel’ wrap from the beautiful Rowan ‘Vintage Style’ collection. The yarn’s in the stash.

Margaret - Sales Assistant
Margaret joined The Wool Shack in March 2004. She is passionate about knitting, but, like most of us, wishes there were more hours in the day in which to knit!
Knitting since she was 10 years old, Margaret is having a fabulous time discovering all the new and exciting yarns that are out there and loves to 'road test' Wool Shack goodies.
A regular at The Wool Shack knitting circles, as well as a member of a group of 'knit along girls', knitting is what she lives for.
Married to Matthew and with Gillian (born September 2003), and Noah (born October 2005), life is busy, busy, busy for Marge.
